The Problem With Inference

Inference is guessing.

It's calculated guessing based on evidence and reasoning.

Much of modern science is based on inference.

Important decisions that take place in our daily lives are based on the inferred conclusions arrived at by scientists when they carry out experiments in their labs.

These scientists collect data, make assumptions, then infer conclusions that are often preconceived.

These preconceived conclusions are often sought by corporations hoping to make large profits from these findings if the findings are favorable.

To increase the probability that scientists are more likely to find the favorable, profitable data and conclusions, they are sometimes encouraged to do so through direct or indirect means.

A generous reward system is usually enough to incentivize corporate science labs to massage the data, fudge the numbers, bury control studies, and infer preconceived conclusions that lead to massive product sales for the very corporation that financed the studies.

When studies produce results that don't align with the wishes of the corporations they are buried.

The investors get exactly what they want.

Every single time.

It's everywhere

Virology is the latest fake science to have the spotlight shone on it when it comes to the mistakes made through inference, but many other disciplines have fallen foul of this pernicious practice.

The man-made global warming predictions based on the extrapolation of dodgy data a hundred years into the future is a prime example.

The assumptions and leaps of faith required to accept the claims made by evolution science are also the product of inference.

The circular reasoning involved in the dating of dinosaur fossils and other geological scientific claims require yet more inference and reading between the lines.

Cosmology appears to make a great many assumptions too.

And I would say that much of medical and biological science is based on incorrect conclusions arrived at through coerced inference techniques that can then be regurgitated by brainwashed and indoctrinated medical practitioners.

Everyone ends up believing the lie

False information, assumptions, and conclusions derived through the unreliable reliance on inference become the raw material of propaganda and dogma.

This material can be massaged and molded into unshakable beliefs that can lead to an incredible amount of harm in the human, animal and plant populations that inhabit this planet.

For example, I was at the butchers this morning buying a couple of chickens. While the woman was chopping them up into small pieces, a waiting customer blurted out that I must be stocking up because soon their wouldn't be anymore chickens due to the bird flu scare being broadcast on Spanish TV.

I said nothing.

Then the two women went back and forth mentioning something about the pandemic as is customary now whenever I venture out into Normieland.

I simply felt tired and wanted to wade back to my car through the pouring rain so I could get home and bag the chicken pieces for the freezer.

And this, hot on the heels of the infamous ostrich cull in Canada.

I infer that we may yet witness another plandemic attempt and even though some people may have learned their lesson after Operation COVID there will be a great many people that go along with all the dress up and self harm all over again.

Most people still repeat what they see on TV and whatever their doctor tells them.

One day this will change.

I live in hope.
