Scary AI Leads To Centralized Control Of All The Things
The goal of the technocratic Decision Makers has always been to bring all the things under centralized control. To achieve this seemingly unattainable goal they came up with a simple plan based on the old concepts of fear and hope, reward and punishment, the carrot and the stick and the updated version of this in the form of behavior modification.
To move the human herd in the desired direction the Decision Makers first terrorize the general public with a boogeyman that is plucked from a long list of potentially scary things. In the old days, depictions of the Devil coming to abduct naughty humans and drag them down to an eternally fiery Hell was sufficient to keep the masses in line. The threat of volcano gods erupting or sun gods confiscating the sun during eclipses were fairly effective too as was the punishment sent down in the form of plagues, earthquakes, devastating storms, tsunamis and famines. A curse was a curse and people used to take that stuff incredibly seriously. The result sometimes could be described as mass psychosis where entire populations would engage in blood sacrifice rituals in an attempt to appease the despotic and cruel pantheon of man-made gods.
In the here and now, the Decision Makers have adapted the old methods to suit a more science-friendly target. With the advent of germ theory and the current dominant ideology behind mass vaccination the Decision Makers hit gold with a mass control method like no other that had gone before. They were able to convince most of the worlds population that these jabs were saving millions of lives. The boogeyman in this case was the existence of horrible disease symptoms. It was relatively easy to persuade people (after a rough start) to line up and take the shots as a routine measure, a novel way to ward off evil spirits. With continuous unrelenting propaganda leading up to and during Operation COVID the Decision Makers were able to push the previously primed population into accepting mandatory shots of all kinds form birth til death for basic and essential access to all areas of life including schools, universities, jobs, transportation and recreational activities. We were a hair's whisker away from this being implemented for good in the developed world and eventually everywhere on earth for humans and animals alike.
This reality hasn't fully materialized yet, but it's hovering on the edge ready to drop on our heads like a rock hammer at the next possible stress point waiting to be exploited by the Decision Makers. Several of the potential catalysts are lining up like the proverbial ducks in a row. These catalysts, at first glance, may seem to be entirely unrelated to the viral contagion fear racket, but in actual fact, all the boogeymen are deeply tied at the hip because the underlying goal is total control and this control must be accepted and even demanded by the very people the Decision Makers are trying to enslave.
When we hear the rumblings of war in the distance, the first thing the Decision Makers resort to is telling the public they're all going to die or at least suffer very badly unless we all rally round the flag and support the war effort. The central banks will print all the money required, weapons will be manufactured and taxes will be raised for many years to come to pay off the debt. Rebuilding programs will be activated and the survivors will be kept busy while the winners write history.
When the general public began feeling the effects of too much pollution — a side effect of the incredibly successful industrial revolution — the Decision Makers took those concerns and through the Club of Rome twisted the fear of pollution, overpopulation and resource depletion into the new religion of man-made climate change. Global warming took first place as the most effective, sticky, reasonably believable boogeyman the Decision Makers had ever come up with. To this day, the true believers of this doomsday cult are suggesting that anyone that questions the data of their "settled science" should be severely punished, possibly incarcerated and definitely treated for mental health issues.
It may be that people are bored and they simply want some excitement in their lives. Maybe they want to see public floggings again, deniers rounded up and thrown off cliffs, independent thought squashed underfoot before it gets a chance to take hold and spread.
Anyway, I hope you can see where this is going. The current threat focus has moved onto the possible escalation of a wider war signature than we've been used to over the previous decades with more and more countries, both large and small, preparing to enter the fray. Yet, lurking behind this signal, and also deeply entwined with it, the emergent threat of artificial intelligence has leapt to the forefront at times, nearly, but not quite, reaching boogeyman frenzy levels, trying to outdo all other boogeymen that went before.
And here's the thing. It doesn't matter if the AI software is actually capable of the magical autonomous properties that developer gurus like to paint it with. All that's required for the boogeyman terror effect to work is that the general public accepts the potential negative outcomes of such activity no matter where it comes from (or when) in the same way that they were pressured to believe that a virus escaped from a lab in Wuhan China and evolved into God knows how many variants with the silliest of names.
In similar fashion, we were tricked into believing that a nuclear holocaust was always just around the corner with tales of brave Russian military personnel staving off the inevitable on occasion by ignoring the faulty signals on the radar screens. At this point, I'm skeptical that nuclear weapons even work in the way they've been advertised. Many of the old stockpiles have been broken down and the fuel reused for nuclear reactors. And these days, if the Decision Makers want to put on a big show they might be inclined to make use of orbital platforms (Artemis), drop a rod or two, and simply tell everyone that nukes were deployed by someone somewhere. Anything is possible at this late stage in the game.
The main point I would like to reiterate is that all methods employed by the Decision Makers to scare the living daylights out of you are more than often, if not always, full of hot air. The main crux of their drive is to terrorize you sufficiently into accepting a solution of their choosing.
Fear of viruses leads to vaccine mandates.
Fear of global warming leads to carbon taxes, demonization of fossil fuels, and the unwieldy and untimely deployment of renewables and EVs.
Fear of nuclear war leads to international treaties that punish certain countries attempting to develop a nuclear energy strategy.
Fear of artificial intelligence, especially the idea of autonomous artificial general intelligence leads to talk of a technological pause while we figure out the pros and cons and calls for a global governing body that will keep AI and its potential for abuse in check.
And all of these fearmongering campaigns lead to massive inflows of funding for all manner of projects that allegedly mitigate the problems that could arise from the boogeymen if they are not contained.
Everything leads to the same place. The Decision Makers essentially want a world where everyone is under the thumb, a world that resembles a prison where every inhabitant has to ask for permission before they carry out any task, a world where people become enslaved to the whims of the technocrats, where your digital ID and your social credit score are attached to all your actions, your beliefs, your behavior, your words, spoken and unspoken, as convenience consumes and imprisons you and your loved ones for the rest of your lives.
AI is the latest activator of this panopticon, this electronic prison grid for both bodies and minds. The next step is to so infuse the inmates with technology that they won't be able to see the joins, the boundaries that historically separated man from machine. The lie is always wrapped in urgency. This is presented as a necessary step towards a greater version of ourselves that couldn't possibly be achieved if it were not for the long list of boogeymen that helped us arrive at this place, the final destination for mankind and our likely resting place if the post-human experiment is successful in our replacement.
The rapid adoption of these AI technologies sparked intense debate about their implications. Notable AI researchers and industry leaders voiced both optimism and concern about the accelerating pace of development. In March 2023, over 20,000 signatories, including computer scientist Yoshua Bengio, Elon Musk, and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, signed an open letter calling for a pause in advanced AI development, citing "profound risks to society and humanity."
Pause Giant AI Experiments: An Open Letter is the title of a letter published by the Future of Life Institute in March 2023. The letter calls "all AI labs to immediately pause for at least 6 months the training of AI systems more powerful than GPT-4", citing risks such as AI-generated propaganda, extreme automation of jobs, human obsolescence, and a society-wide loss of control.
It asks to refocus AI research on making powerful AI systems "more accurate, safe, interpretable, transparent, robust, aligned, trustworthy, and loyal". The letter also recommends more governmental regulation, independent audits before training AI systems, as well as "tracking highly capable AI systems and large pools of computational capability" and "robust public funding for technical AI safety research".
However, it was credited with generating a "renewed urgency within governments to work out what to do about the rapid progress of AI", and reflecting the public's increasing concern about risks presented by AI.
Some IEEE members have expressed various reasons for signing the letter, such as that "There are too many ways these systems could be abused. They are being freely distributed, and there is no review or regulation in place to prevent harm."

Many scholars concerned about AGI existential risk believe that extensive research into the "control problem" is essential. This problem involves determining which safeguards, algorithms, or architectures can be implemented to increase the likelihood that a recursively-improving AI remains friendly after achieving superintelligence.
